{"id":10765,"date":"2021-09-25T19:43:00","date_gmt":"2021-09-26T02:43:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.gemtactics.net\/wordpress\/?p=10765"},"modified":"2021-09-28T07:54:22","modified_gmt":"2021-09-28T14:54:22","slug":"modernist-smocking","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.gemtactics.net\/wordpress\/2021\/09\/modernist-smocking\/","title":{"rendered":"Modernist smocking"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I learned this smocking technique from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.anniecoggan.com\/bio\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"http:\/\/www.anniecoggan.com\/bio\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Annie Coggan<\/a>, in an online class offered by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tatter.org\/library\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.tatter.org\/library\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Tatter Blue Library<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Easy to do and makes quite a dimensional piece of fabric. Drawing the grid on the fabric is the hardest part. I used my yardstick and a black felt pen that laid down a dark line.
