This exercise is from India Flint’s course being (t)here. Take a photo and extract nine colors. She used screen shots, I used my rusty GIMP skills. Write poetic lines about each. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The photo I used is “sky blanket” from here<\/a>. I haven’t written the lines yet, but I had fun extracting and naming the color squares. I might try another method to get more of the textures and color variation in each square. I might try to recreate with watercolor. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It’s a good exercise for me right now when things seem very hectic. Sam’s going in for a heart operation in January (CABG – “cabbage” – coronary artery bypass graft(s)). Plus holidays. Plus Covid. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
