It\u2019s really starting to feel like fall. I\u2019ve been curious this year about what contributes to this feeling of change. It doesn\u2019t happen all at once. But I read the signs, even if it\u2019s subconsciously. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here\u2019s Sam finishing up the fourth bed in the hoophouse. We took the cover off again. The seedlings need sunlight to get established and the wind and cold are not threats right now. Baby arugula and kale growing in the foreground.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bookmaking with friends. We got together for a bookmaking day on Tuesday. So enjoyable. We made a matched set, all the same design using the same khadi paper as covers. This structure was taught by Margo Klass earlier in the summer, but I couldn\u2019t make it that day. Glad I had another chance. Mine is third from left. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Goldenrod dyeing continues. This time I conscientiously snipped only flower heads (mostly). It\u2019s looking much more yellow than the previous pot. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
