I’ve been feeling out of sorts for a few days. I didn’t feel ready for the killing frost at the community garden. I really didn’t want to go to the dentist yesterday for a cleaning and I felt badly afterwards, although it was not very bad news. Just some “soft spots” that he said he’d watch and maybe fill later. A few cloudy days felt oppressive. The news about the women in Iran cutting their hair in protest really affected me. I wanted to cut my hair in solidarity. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I’ve been doing too many things and not settling into any of them. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Today I thought time for a reset. Just stop and enjoy the delightful warm sunny weather. I went for a walk in the preserve in back of our place. I’ve been walking on the road, avoiding the woods because of ticks. But there is no reason I need to be so afraid of ticks. The paths are quite open and there’s very little grass to walk through. It was quiet and delightful. I didn’t listen to a podcast, just the sound of the woods.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Then I got home and had a tomato sandwich with some of the last batch of tomatoes. And some watermelon that was languishing in the fridge. Ate outside on the deck – maybe one of the last few times? <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then I undertook a massive cleaning project which I do maybe twice a year. It wasn’t really on the agenda, but it needed it. Vacuuming the couch and getting rid of the cobwebs on that side of the downstairs room – part of the reset. Almost done now. Feeling much better. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
