I’m back home after 5 days in Connecticut and New York, attending Mom’s services and visiting. And driving around, a lot of it, including two trips to JFK Airport. And there was an eclipse this morning. And it’s election day. I don’t know who I am right now, there is so much to absorb. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Let me just say I got 3 boxes of sewing stuff from Mom’s apartment. I was kind of amazed it was there because there had been such thorough downsizing when she moved into assisted living. I don’t think she had sewn anything for years. But 3 boxes – so many needles and pins. Thread. Pinking shears. White cotton squares, some with hand or machine embroidery (as above; her name was Margaret Rose). None of my other siblings wanted anything to do with these boxes, but somehow they came to me. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It’s windy. I’m making some bread, which takes a long time. I’ll start re-figuring out who I am tomorrow. Along with the country I happen to live in. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
