I spent almost all day yesterday weeding and mulching the garden. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Last night, lots of wind and rain. Not raining now, but it’s still in the forecast. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Calendula doesn’t want to stop. It’s making tons of seeds. <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

A companionable group of Carrots, Mullein, Borage. The mullein snuck in on its own. <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Some empty rows, but lots still growing. Mostly greens – kale, collards, radicchio – and brassicas – brussels sprouts, cabbage, broccoli. Hay bales are waiting to fill spaces. <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

I love it when I find these little creatures. This one held perfectly still as I moved the board. I’m sure it was alive, but I didn’t want to disturb it by poking it. <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

The hoophouse. We’re leaving the cover off to allow maximum sunshine and rain – until we need it for cold. Arugula and kale growing strong. Some spinach and red lettuce (well-camouflaged), carrots, and a little escarole. <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
