{"id":126,"date":"2005-01-07T09:57:00","date_gmt":"2005-01-07T16:57:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/gemtactics.net\/wordpress\/?p=126"},"modified":"2006-02-03T10:37:10","modified_gmt":"2006-02-03T17:37:10","slug":"dear-representative","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.gemtactics.net\/wordpress\/2005\/01\/dear-representative\/","title":{"rendered":"dear representative"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><i>January 5, 2005<\/p>\n<p>The Honorable Stephanie Tubbs Jones<br \/>\n1009 Longworth H.O.B.<br \/>\nU.S. House of Representatives<br \/>\nWashington, D.C. 20515<\/p>\n<p>Dear Representative Tubbs Jones:<\/p>\n<p>I am in receipt of your letter that spelled out concerns about the election irregularities in Ohio during the November 2004 election.<\/p>\n<p>The fact that you are from Ohio and that you are a former judge gives great weight and much credibility to the points you cited and to your plea that these issues be addressed by the Congress.<\/p>\n<p>I was particularly moved by your point that it is virtually impossible to get official House consideration of the whole issue of election reform, including these irregularities.<\/p>\n<p>I have concluded that objecting to the electoral votes from Ohio is the only immediate way to bring these issues to light by allowing you to have a two-hour debate to let the American people know the facts surrounding Ohio&#8217;s election.<\/p>\n<p>I will therefore join you in your objection to the certification of Ohio&#8217;s electoral votes.
