The days have passed so quickly now that it\u2019s more possible to work outside. We went to Mount Desert Island on Tuesday. I wanted to buy some seed starting mix that\u2019s only available locally at a store there. They didn\u2019t have it, but were expecting a shipment soon. So we\u2019ll have to go back.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Maybe we\u2019ll take another walk in Acadia Park. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our idea was to circumambulate Eagle Lake. The path would have taken us along the lake shore and around to the other side. This rock formation caught my eye . It looks like the slabs were intentionally laid on top of each other. They fit so well. I don\u2019t know how it was formed but the lichen and moss indicate it\u2019s been that way for a long time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"500\" height=\"667\" src=\"https:\/\/www.gemtactics.net\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/img_8346-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-13639\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.gemtactics.net\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/img_8346-1.jpg 500w, https:\/\/www.gemtactics.net\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/img_8346-1-225x300.jpg 225w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Patchwork of rocks<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>This stream burbled over a series of rock ledges. The water flowing into Eagle Lake from many streams looks very clean.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"500\" height=\"667\" src=\"https:\/\/www.gemtactics.net\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/img_8345-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-13638\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.gemtactics.net\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/img_8345-1.jpg 500w, https:\/\/www.gemtactics.net\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/img_8345-1-225x300.jpg 225w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Stream<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The park has a lot of these beautiful stone bridges. This one allows people to pass under the busy road. These bridges add to the tranquil atmosphere of the park, for me. My friend, an expert rug hooker, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.chaptertwocorea.com\/acadia-bridge-rugs\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">finished a project<\/a> a few years ago to represent all the bridges in hooked format. She won an award from Friends of Acadia for the effort.
