A few mornings ago, I went out and noticed an animal had been enjoying some of my squash from the garden. I don’t know what kind of animal, but it has sharp chisel-like teeth and a preference for Red Kuri and Delicata. So I scurried around harvestng and brought these inside. There are a few more green pumpkins out there. And the community garden has four huge Blue Hubbards and a lot of butternuts. They seem to be safe from animals so far, and the vines and leaves are still capable of absorbing sunlight I think. So I’m leaving them. That’s a lot of squash for us to eat. I think I’ll give some more away. I’ve already given some to friends and family. It’s fun to let people pick out a squash.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
