Some of it fell as sleet or rain, and then turned to ice. Today we have high winds and lots of blowing snow. Froze. One *rump supporter driving around in a pickup with a big flag and a large crowd of protesters who didn&#8217;t really know how to handle anything that was happening.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I was involved with Occupy Wall Street in 2011. Sam and I stayed overnight in Zuccotti Park, the epicenter of Occupy Wall Street in New York City. I wrote <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gemtactics.net\/wordpress\/2011\/10\/talkin-bout-an-occupation\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">this about our experience<\/a>. I visited the Occupy encampment several times after that and also helped cook and deliver food to the protests for several weeks. I keep thinking back to those days. How fast the encampments sprang up and how organized things were almost immediately. How brutally it was squelched.
