{"id":3135,"date":"2013-07-19T15:16:50","date_gmt":"2013-07-19T22:16:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/gemtactics.net\/wordpress\/?p=3135"},"modified":"2013-07-19T15:16:50","modified_gmt":"2013-07-19T22:16:50","slug":"remix-remix","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.gemtactics.net\/wordpress\/2013\/07\/remix-remix\/","title":{"rendered":"remix remix"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Shoot, I just realized I encountered two &#8220;remixes&#8221; in one day. <\/p>\n<p>Matthew Remski&#8217;s book <a href=\"http:\/\/matthewremski.com\/wordpress\/?page_id=1564\" target=\"_blank\">Threads of Yoga<\/a>, a remix of Patanjali&#8217;s Yoga Sutra <\/p>\n<p>AND<\/p>\n<p>Exhibit at Katonah Museum of Art, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.internationalcollage.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">Remix: Selections from the International Collage Center<\/a> (link has a slideshow but is not a permalink, argghh)<\/p>\n<p>Very enthusiastic about the Threads of Yoga &#8211; primarily the approach at this point rather than the content. I&#8217;ve only read the first few pages. I love the mixture of translation (multiple formats!) and commentary and personal expression. <\/p>\n<p>A little overwhelmed by the exhibit. It was gaudy and colorful and represented jillions of hours of effort making large artworks out of tiny collected things. Storing it in memory. I may go back for another visit before the exhibit closes.
