\nin light at 5 am this is
\na ticklish dream wrapped cold
\naround my torso cold and
\ndrowned around my torso
\nticking tickling jiggling jingling<\/p>\n
I am off the bat the boat
\nboating an activity of many
\nwhile they are still middle
\nclass the urge to travel I will
\ntravel and see wondrous things
\nlike towels and bats and howling
\ncats, prattling monkeys, whales
\nand skeletons, towers of ants
\nwith garbage backdrop and the
\ninsect afterscape no rhythm
\nno awful silly sentence no courage
\nno dependability glancing gazing
\nall but no dependency no teeth
\nno braids no exoskeleton why
\ndon’t we all go home home to the
\ndrowned home backdrop garbage
\nwhite elite the bored the this the that –
\nthe mercy grass is on my sleeve
\nso gaze the hard g followed by
\nthe hissing z or gauze or geshe or
\nthe thrashing doves the sigh of singing
\ntelephone the whining plane the
\noozing telegraph the failed
\nsurrealist stuck in his nonfunctional
\nparlor dreams of Guadalajara –
\nwas it parody? the smell of garbage
\nmixes with a hint of lilac this is
\nwhat it is what it has come to skyline
\nhalfway clothed with leaves and a
\nsuburban brightness in the air
\nwith sounds of water gurgling and
\na morning goldness greedy and
\nsuburban cheeping with a hum
\nof traffic while the dog rests and
\nthe flying bee whirrs by a morning
\nwater color from the land of
\ngarbage and the land of smells
\nnow here nowhere now here nowhere
\nnow here nowhere now here okay
\nokay this is a trick of time black
\nflies float in golding light the piercing
\nchirp the here-I-am of jays the
\ncoo-coo mourning and obstreperous
\nchirp of sparrow and no crow
\nno crow not now and with the
