Enough to give a real feel for the fit. I&#8217;m going to need to unpick the central back seam and add a strip there for width or it will feel too tight. I like a looser robe. I also had to fold down the triangular area under the arm by several inches to allow for a capacious sleeve. I&#8217;ll probably iron the seams open at some point, but right now, I&#8217;m just smoothing, pinning, and stitching on this very wrinkled sheet. <\/li><li>I&#8217;m embracing the approach of not knowing what it&#8217;s going to be like when it&#8217;s finished. I love that! I don&#8217;t know if this layer will show or be covered completely. I don&#8217;t have to know right now! So liberating. <\/li><li>I can adjust as I go along. Try on, fit, stitch, adjust. I anticipated that making these garments from <em>Cut My Cote<\/em> would be so intimidating, but it&#8217;s really not when I take it a step at a time and look for feedback. And I can trust my sense for what step should come next because I&#8217;ve made enough clothes. <\/li><li>I am overeager to reach for the next steps &#8211; like Jude&#8217;s <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/spiritcloth.typepad.com\/spirit_cloth\/2020\/04\/hunker-down-and-transform-a-surface.html#comments\" target=\"_blank\">Transform a Surface<\/a> post of today &#8211; but it&#8217;s easy enough to remind myself to take my time.
