Finally. Sort of inevitable in that I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122m English and I have a lot of paper lying around. And I like to piece fabrics together. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This project is inspired by <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/CEtsu8aFQLs\/?igshid=2wo53ih1rt2f\" target=\"_blank\">a piece Alice Fox posted on her Instagram account<\/a>. And by the way these botanically dyed cloths just cried out to be next to each other. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"500\" height=\"667\" src=\"https:\/\/www.gemtactics.net\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/img_1355.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-9909\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.gemtactics.net\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/img_1355.jpg 500w, https:\/\/www.gemtactics.net\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/img_1355-225x300.jpg 225w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>I didn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t want to use glue to quick-baste the hexies\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 seam allowance. So I found a <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/9Cxlsb93Zuo\" target=\"_blank\">YouTube demo by the Stitch Sisters<\/a> that showed a method of basting with thread. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"436\" height=\"583\" src=\"https:\/\/www.gemtactics.net\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/img_1356.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-9908\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.gemtactics.net\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/img_1356.jpg 436w, https:\/\/www.gemtactics.net\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/img_1356-224x300.jpg 224w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 436px) 100vw, 436px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122m still not sure what I want the final configuration to look like, or where the piece will end up.
