Nine nines

I stitched a few one-inch squares every morning. Then I stitched them into strips of three. Then stitched three strips of three into nine-patches. Very satisfying and before I knew it, I had nine.

I don’t know what they will become. It seems so freeing to make with nothing particular in mind.

But now I’m moving on to three-inch squares just because I’m ready for something different. This small change, signaling a different season.
