Good morning

I forgot this little crabapple turns a delightful orange in November after most of the other leaves have dropped. It looked like a beacon this morning against the dark forest and rainy sky.

I tried a more open layout for my squares project. This uses up most of the fours and a selection of threes. I also introduced some dyed linen in very light green. I miscut it so it wasn’t big enough for 4 x 4. So it became 4 x 3. I like it that size. It fit. It also brought more light into the piece. Next step might be to introduce some new spectrum of colors. I’ll do some stash diving later.

like you, I use the floor to try out arrangements … I wouldn’t have the patience to pin and unpin on a vertical surface
