I finished weaving the green mat today. “Finished weaving” is misleading because there’s still more “finishing” to be done. I guess it would be better to just say it’s off the loom now. Onwards.
Here it is before taking off the loom. I like the combination of greens with all the different textures and shapes. The design is pretty simple and not very composed, just shapes as they popped into my head.
Off the loom and with the warp ends tied.
On the back, a dense thicket of ends to weave in.
And it was a great day for a walk. The tide was way way out. I walked on the shore and ran across this driftwood shrine. The pink object near the top is a baby’s sock.
