    that’s quite a lovely bit of cloth at the bottom of the last image … like a topographic map … and now more noticeable without the distraction of the shredded silk … is that perle cotton you’re using?

    can’t say that I envy you the time in the snow … and yet, I do recall how much I once enjoyed it after getting over the “I don’t want to go” impulse

      I’m gradually using up all the scraps of that remnant of cloth. I was using a buttonhole thread, but switched to embroidery floss when I realized the thread was mostly polyester. I have a hard time with imagining all the microplastics that polyester will leave around.

        Louise Bourgeois is best known for her sculptures, I think, but she was really into fabric also. I’d like to look at some more of her art.
