Host of Hearts Quilt
Remember this? My three crewel-work patches, posted in Finishing, stopping, going from March 24, 2024

These three crewel blocks were contributed to a group project that I didn’t expect to be completed any time soon. To my delight, the project has been done and in the most beautiful way. Rose Arenstam (@rosecoloredquilts) is the genius who chose the backgrounds, organized the blocks, and quilted the whole thing. I didn’t think such disparate blocks could work, but they do with the quilting and the colorful sashing.
The finished quilt, called Host of Hearts, is being raffled as a fundraiser for a nearby library.

I love the combination of the patterned sashing with the 5×5 heart blocks … I have no doubt this will be a very successful fundraiser!
Thank you, Liz! I am tickled pink with how this turned out!
What a beauty this quilt is. Your contributions are very pleasing.
Thank you, Stephanie! I struggled producing the blocks, but am very happy with the end results.
Catherine~ What beautiful heart squares you contributed! The end result is lovely. I really like the boarder/sashing fabrics and quilt pattern she chose. It is beautiful! ??
