Conditions

We’ve been cross-country skiing a few times. Saturday, it took us about 2 hours to ski the Witches’ Hole Loop in Acadia.

We entered from Duck Brook Bridge. It was well-traveled, but conditions were excellent. Parts of us were cold when we started out, but we warmed up by the end. Next time we go, maybe I’ll carry a backpack with a pad to sit on and a thermos of something warm to drink.

It was heartening to see a message to ICE in the snow covering the wall of the Duck Brook Bridge.
