Joy
The coneflowers (echinacea) at the edge of my plot in the community garden are attracting a lot of butterflies and bees. Standing next to the flowers, I’m enveloped in a cloud of flight. It makes me laugh out loud with joy.
I decided to observe and identify each type of butterfly. The iPhone camera makes it easy. It ignored the pink flowers and focused on the insects. Not sure how that works.
Their names are stunning too. I was thinking of my dad, who used to take photos of butterflies on flowers. A successful snapshot made him very happy.
Just when I was satisfied with my photos of those three species, this handsome one showed up. How perfect.
i’m glad you’ve not moved on…have had these incredible photographs in mind since i first saw them..come back and back and got
pulled away before saying
Beauty FULL. and to think…in our gardens…just outside in our gardens….!!
I’m in a busy period. I’ll move on – I hope! – but meanwhile this beauty is holding space here.
