Labor
There was one sunny warm day last week. We worked in the garden. Planting seed potatoes was the goal. There were quite a few steps involved, and some extra steps added just because. I raked hay mulch off the row, Sam did some broadforking to loosen the soil. Then we decided to renew the paths on either side with fresh woodchips. This involved digging and carting loads of chips. It was more than I wanted to do, but I’m glad it’s done.

Another kind of labor, stitching. Much more relaxing. I’ve been working on this piece, which I named the October cloth, all winter. Stitching densely in most of the squares. There are a few more left to do and this will be finished.

Catherine~ Your October Cloth is a beautiful seasonal song, just right for sitting curled up on the couch with!
I really hope to get it finished soon. By October for sure!
Let me say I think you’re amazing in everything you do ….. living life to the fullest.
Thank you, Tina. I feel pretty grubby and out of the loop at times, and your words give me perspective.
Your cloth is very beautiful and so is the potato garden.
Thank you, Stephanie. The garden will look even nicer when the potatoes come up!
