Common Ground Fair
I went to the fair! Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. The weather was perfect. Lots of people, but there was a lot of space to spread out. I took photos. But it’s hard to share the experience — it’s so joyful and positive. I organized my photos into 3 categories – animals and kids, fiber-related, and music/plants/miscellaneous.

I filmed a bit of the parade here: https://youtube.com/shorts/k5DdKhmSrYY
Catherine~ Those horses are really beautiful! I love seeing the children involved with these activities. It gives hope for the future, doesn’t it? The photo of them sliding down the hill brought back very good childhood memories of my own. And the parade looked like a hoot! I loved the “potato with eyes”! haha Great costume. It reminded me of when my daughter-in-law marched in the HONK parade, 2010. She and her mates wore yellow tutus and she played her trombone 🙂 It was wild good fun. Here is a link from that year, but they are still having it in 2025! https://honkfest.org/archive/2010-festival/schedule2010/
The Honk festival sounds like a hoot! Or should I say toot! I love a wacky parade.
