For Kids
Last fair post! Sunday, the last day of the fair, was supposed to be rainy and miserable, but the rain held off. Attendance was down. For the first time, I ventured into the children’s area which was a little less crowded.
I was very impressed.
Kids LOVE to pound nails into boards. That’s all there was to it. Pounding nails into boards. When the nails were all pounded, the volunteer staff brought out a new board. Very noisy, but lots of fun.

That kid in the green sweater has a hat made of newspaper, with a veil attached. So simple and so elegant!
There was also a hay jump. Bales of hay were set up for kids to run up and leap off a large bale through a hula hoop into a pile of hay. If I were a kid, I would love it here.

There were of course the typical craft tents and face-painting, as well as the Garden Parade and cardboard sledding in another area. I had a lot of fun watching the kids have fun. I wished I could raise my kids again with this type of fun available, but the past is the past, you know.
