Ocean
Tuesday we went for a walk in Acadia, along the Ocean Path. There were some people around, but it wasn’t terribly crowded. Lots of dogs on leash. There was a cold breeze, but the sun was warm. It was relaxing to be walking along and listening to the sounds of the ocean. I found the rock formations very beautiful We’re lucky to live in this part of the world. I always have a background consciousness of our degrading environment, but I could set it aside at least a little while.

We walked down Sand Beach until we came to the stream that forms there. A large pool had formed in the sand. Its shape reminded me of Saudi Arabia, whose geography is very much in the news lately.

I’m following along with this podcast, as different people read and comment on Ursula LeGuin’s blog entries. She’s one of my favorite authors. I didn’t know, or maybe I forgot, that she wrote a blog in her 80’s. Inspirational.

Catherine~ What an amazing part of the country! Your photos are always so stunning and these are no different. I also have a background consciousness of how lucky I am at this stage of my life…my time mostly my own, my health good enough, my company with J. treasured. Add that to the environmental views and aren’t I lucky?!!
Thanks for the links, I’ve been checking them out 🙂
I feel refreshed just looking at the photos again! That blue sky and water… today it’s overcast and chilly, just part of the glorious springtime. Gratitude overflows, thanks for adding yours here.
