Poppies
The pink poppies are blooming in the hoophouse. The light in there is diffuse, and it’s cloudy. I think the pinks show up as a deeper color in this atmosphere. I’ve never had them crowded into a bed like this, and so tall.
The seeds originally came from Helen and Scott Nearing’s farm in Harborside, Maine. They wrote “Living the Good Life,” a book that was deeply inspiring to both me and Sam. Since I originally planted them, they’ve been self-seeding.
Oh how lovely they look in all of their pink brightness! I love poppies ????
This is a great time of year, when the poppies bloom.
Wow have only ever seen red poppies .. your pictures are always so spectacular.
The pink is unusual. I like it, especially when it’s really deep.
